Essential Elements is a six piece band made up of some of New York's finest musicians and vocalists. While performing together as unit since 1998, its members have performed in various settings with one another since the late 1970's. A few of the many Broadway shows members of Essential Elements have been a part of are Miss Saigon, Dreamgirls, The Boy From Oz, and Les Misérables. Rent, Mama Mia, Hairspray, The Producers, and Hairspray are a few of the many current Broadway musicals its members occasionally lend their talents to. Some of the artists and groups its members have or currently perform with are Lesley Gore, Gladys Knight, Spiritus, Charles Mingus Big Band, Hugh Jackman, Eartha Kitt, and Aretha Franklin. In their own original music groups, members of Essential Elements have opened for artists like Tim McGraw, Jessica Andrews, Zebra, and Shania Twain. The varied individual experiences these musicians and vocalists have collectively, blend together and makes for a solid musical presentation and sound.
